If you are applying for a job at our school, we strongly recommend that you anticipate the mandatory administrative procedures before starting to work.

  • Candidates invited for interview must provide a criminal record extract:

o             For Belgian citizens or residents, this is the 596-2 model– am model intended for the exercise of an ‘activity relating to education, psycho-medical-social guidance, youth assistance, child protection, entertainment or supervision of minors’. The document is available from the “commune”.

o    For candidates residing abroad, another similar document issued by the authorities of the country of origin must be provided.

  • Candidates selected at the end of the recruitment process must be registered with the “commune” in Belgium before the entry into service (Belgian social security number NISS assigned).
  • Candidates selected at the end of the recruitment process must be authorised to work in Belgium (work permit and administrative availability where applicable).
  • Locally recruited staff members will be subject to Belgian taxation.
