The Dutch teachers Ms Vandenberghe and Ms Van de Casteele visited Ghent on Tuesday 28/09 with their students s7L3 and L4.
Guess who they met? Prime minister Alexander De Croo himself was kind enough to take a picture with our students (Maybe because they had asked him in Dutch? 😉). Our trip to the sunny city of Ghent was unforgettable. We found out about the history of the city’s churches and cathedrals, discovered the student hangout places Korenlei en Graslei and even showed off our piano skills underneath Ghent’s very own ‘Schapenstal’. In the afternoon we travelled back to the 14th century using augmented reality. Hubert and Jan Van Eyck told us all about their workplace, the city of Ghent and most importantly, their masterpiece ‘Het Lam Gods’. Needless to say that the EEB1 students were incredibly impressed with the radiant beauty of this influential work of art. ‘Dankjewel, Gent voor deze prachtige dag!’
