European Schools Science Symposium
Every year the annual European Schools Science Symposium (ESSS) is held in one of the 14 European Schools. Each year several students prepare science projects for this event with the help of their teachers and parents, sometimes with external experts from different universities. In 2015 our school is going to be the host of this great event.
The selection of the applicants is always a very difficult task for the jury members. The schools organize their own selection in their home science competition. In our school we select our best presentations in the Science Festival. This event gives floor for about 35-40 presentations every year. More than 700 students visit our Festival on this day and with their clapping they could help the jury.
The jury selects the best Festival presentations which suited the requirements of the ESSS. These projects continue their research and they still improve their presentations and posters with the help of a tutoring team (Mrs Gancedo, Mrs.Krausz, Mr. Naidoo, Mr Soto Moreno, Mr Pindstrup, and Mr Fodor).
Our students reached their biggest success in ESSS in 2012 (Alicante) where there were 71 science projects and about 150 students from 12 European Schools. Among these excellent projects there were 23 students with 12 projects and 3 oral presentations from our school.
In the senior—poster category the 3rd prize was given to
Victoria von Glasenapp S6DEa
The second prize went to:
Viktoria Zekoll S5DEa
